For this home in Magnolia, TX, we transformed an uneven, hard-to-use yard into a balanced outdoor space. The plan combined corrected grades, durable hardscape paths, refreshed lawn, and layered planting beds so the backyard works for daily living and weekend gatherings—without constant maintenance.

- Grading & Drainage: Re-shaped the yard with subtle swales and pitch away from the home; added catch basins/downspout tie-ins where needed.
- Backyard Circulation: Installed a paver or crushed-stone walkway to connect the door, seating, and side-yard gate; edge restraint to prevent spread.
- Defined Beds: Stone/steel edging to hold mulch and create crisp lines along the fence and patio.
- Planting Plan: Texas-tough shrubs, ornamental grasses, and seasonal color sized to stay below sightlines and reduce pruning.
- Lawn Refresh: Soil top-dress in thin areas; new sod in damaged zones for an even finish.
- Optional Features: Small grill pad/fire pit, step lighting, and hose bib splash area.
